A friend’s daughter who was book smart, struggled with relationships including with her parents. She was a loner in school growing up, eventually switching to homeschooling, but had good grades. She picked a small college to attend and the staff supported her and coached her to build her confidence. She is now employed and living in her own apartment with a job she enjoys, friends at work, and work that makes an impact. Note that she has not ‘changed’ into a ‘traditional’ employee - she is contributing in her own way.
