As the speech progressed, I was struck my two basic prerequisites to allowing emergence through your people:
- Trust - it's tough to trust someone else to do it right, to learn to hold people accountable in a productive way, and to get out of their way. Leadership requires it.
- You can't have trust if you don't have a shared purpose. In all things - training, partnerships, marketing, sales, leadership - Purpose is the magic that engages people. Why am I doing this?
