You have trained your project teams and they
are getting pretty good at the basics, but what they need
now is someone around occasionally to ask those 'real life',
challenging questions: “Why have you allowed your scope to
creep?” or “Why are you avoiding that specific customer?”
These are examples of questions that can save a project
before it goes too far down the road to failure. Through
periodic site visits and/or telephone coaching, RMA project
management facilitators will periodically work with your
project teams on their specific project concerns.

How do you keep a project on the road to success? |
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Individuals
attending this session are involved in one or more of the
areas below:
WHAT THE SESSION PROVIDES
Define,
Plan, Manage, Review: these are the major phases of a
successful project management strategy. RMA project
management consultants use their extensive experience to
coach your staff through the normal growing pains of project
managers. Whether you want to set this up as a 'walk-in
clinic', have the RMA consultant coach a new project
manager, or just need help reviewing project plans and
schedules, this service will jumpstart any project and keep
it on the right track as surprises occur.
At the
beginning of a project (DEFINE), an RMA facilitator can help
with the creation of a Project Charter, including: scope
documents, risk assessment, business and project objectives,
and constraints. During project planning (PLAN), RMA
facilitators can assess the practicality of your estimating
and schedules, as well as the clarity of your role
definitions, communications plans, and change plans. Once
the project begins (MANAGE), the RMA facilitators act as a
mirror, helping the project manager clearly see, prioritize,
and deal with the surprises that arise. Finally (REVIEW),
an RMA facilitator will lead a Post Project Review to
capture Lessons Learned from your projects. The amount of
time we work with you depends entirely on your specific
need, and is customized each time.
