Janice Daly is a
business woman who’s had ‘business’ in her blood from birth
(both her parents were business owners). Now Janice
consults, coaches, teaches, and practices what she preaches
while also being a wife, dog-owner, care-giver, and active
church member. Her passion is bringing value to her clients!
And she is certifiably a PMP (Project Management
Professional)!
Janice’s
favorite activities are project management, problem solving,
business analysis, facilitating, course development, and
teaching (not necessarily in that order!) She has been a
consultant and instructor for more than 10 years for Russell
Martin & Associates with a client list that includes the
State of Indiana, Ben & Jerry’s, BAA of Indianapolis, Butler
University, Eli Lilly and Company, Roche Diagnostics, and
many others. Janice is also a partner in Lessons Learned
LLC, a company that specializes in designing workshops and
learning experiences that share the gems of wisdom that are
unique to the organization. Janice is also a speaker on the
topics of project management practices at various PMI and
other organizational conferences.
Previously,
Janice was a vice-president, a manager, a project manager, a
programmer, a facilitator, a speaker, a reporter, a
telephone answering service sales person, a Latin major, and
a lumber yard bookkeeper, with over 25 years in the fields
of software development, transportation, not-for-profit,
government, construction, manufacturing, and education. For
fun, she enjoys feeding the birds, water skiing, gardening,
being with friends, and fine dining! Her favorite books are
mysteries and her first love is for nature and its
critters.
Here are four
lessons she has learned (one is a lie):
-
Project management only sounds boring - it’s not!! (really
- that’s not the lie!!)
-
Excellent customer service rules!
-
All
corporations are the same except in name (NOT!)
-
Consulting is planting a tiny seed of advice in the minds
of others and then watching it grow into a great idea!
